Indian automaker will invest USD60 million in new model development

After recently severing ties with joint-venture (JV) partner Nissan, Ashok Leyland plans to roll out 8–10 light commercial vehicle (LCV) models in the next three years, reports the Press Trust of India (PTI). The move will entail an investment of INR4 billion (USD60 million). Included among the nameplates will be new versions of existing models as well as completely new models.
