Ford F-150 gets new EcoBoost engine, 10-speed transmission
The 2017 model F-150 truck achieves EPA-estimated city, highway and combined fuel economy increase of 1 mile per gallon, with the combined rating for the 2017 F-150 4x4 up 2 miles per gallon
Ford will add an all-new 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine to the 2017 model of its F-150 truck, the company said in a press release on 6 October. The engine is mated to the first volume-production 10-speed automatic transmission. With these, the 2017 model F-150 truck achieves Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-estimated city, highway and combined fuel economy increase of 1 mile per gallon, with the combined rating for the 2017 F-150 4x4 up 2 miles per gallon, Ford claimed.
