Bosch develops self-driving Model S prototype in Australia
Prototype incorporates 60 components, six radars, six LiDAR, high-resolution GPS and a stereo video camera, all supplied by the German supplier
Bosch has unveiled a self-driving Tesla Model S prototype in Clayton, Victoria (Australia), in collaboration with Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and VicRoads, reports ABC News. The Victorian government has invested AUD1.2 million (USD0.9 million) in the project. The self-driving prototype features inbuilt sensors to detect and avoid road obstacles such as pedestrians and cyclists. In all, the prototype incorporates 60 components, six radars, six LiDAR, high-resolution GPS and a stereo video camera, all supplied by Bosch.
