Bosch to invest USD48.5 million on new manufacturing unit, R&D center in Thailand-report
Part of overall investment of around USD89.6 million that Bosch plans to make in ASEAN this year
Bosch will invest EUR43 million (USD48.5 million) in setting up a new manufacturing unit and a research and development (R&D) center in Thailand, Bangkok Post reported on 6 October. The new facility and R&D center will come up at the Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate in Rayong. Bosch is scheduled to complete construction of these facilities this year, and start operations mid-2017, according to the report. The new plant will produce fuel injectors with an annual capacity of one million units and is expected to create around 800 jobs, the report said.
