BMW Korea has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Gyeonggi state government to open a research centre for self-driving vehicles in Pangyo Zero City, reports JoongAng Ilbo. The MoU comes following the state government's plans to establish infrastructure for autonomous vehicles, such as traffic signals and charging facilities for electric and hydrogen cars, and to make Pangyo Zero City a domestic leader in autonomous cars. Pangyo Zero City is an industrial complex still under development that will focus on new technology and start-ups.
