California increases rebates on EVs by USD500 for low-income buyers

Individual with incomes of more than USD150,000 will not be eligible for incentives

In a bid to make electric vehicles (EV) more affordable for the low-income groups, the US state of California has announced that low-income residents of California will receive an additional EV rebate of USD500 when purchasing or leasing a battery electric, plug-in hybrid or hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, reports news website Hybrid Cars.
