European Commissioner for consumer affairs has written to the VW Group Management Board Member to ask whether the company could provide evidence that the Group can fulfil its pledge

The European Commissioner for consumer affairs, Vera Jourova, who in the past has challenged the Volkswagen (VW) Group's decision to pay compensation to European consumers over the diesel emissions affair has asked for assurances that VW will complete work on all affected vehicles by the fourth quarter of 2017, according to a Reuters report.
