US automaker claims to have done extensive testing of the technology

Ford will debut its new ‘pre-collision assist’ with ‘pedestrian detection’ system in model year 2017 Ford Fusion sold in the North American market, the US-based automaker said in a press release. The automaker’s new active safety technology can predict pedestrian movement to help reduce severity, and in some cases, eliminate frontal collision altogether. Ford claims to have extensively tested this safety technology.
