Chinese government roadmap includes plans to fast-track installation of NEV charging facilities in the country

The Chinese government is targeting a significant portion of vehicle sales to stem from new energy vehicles (NEVs), according to state media reports, quoting an official roadmap released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The China Daily reports that the 15-year roadmap from the MIIT highlights that NEVs will account for 7% of the country's total car sales in 2020 and 40% of sales in 2030, reaching an estimated 15.2 million units.
