UK passenger car production improves marginally in September
Exports bolstered growth in car production
UK passenger car production recorded a small improvement during September, according to the latest data published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). In September, passenger car output in the United Kingdom increased by 0.9% year on year (y/y) to 159,726 units. This increase further helped the UK performance in the year to date (YTD), which now stands at 1,292,453 units, a gain of 10.5% y/y.
