Harman, Airbiquity announce first automotive grade end-to-end IDS for connected vehicles

System combines Harman’s Ecushield software that provides continuous security threat monitoring and identification for internal vehicle networks

Harman and Airbiquity have jointly announced the development the first automotive grade end-to-end intrusion detection system (IDS) for connected vehicles at TU-Automotive Europe in Munich, Germany, the two companies said in a joint press release early this week. The system combines Harman’s Intrusion Detection and Prevention System inside the vehicle with Airbiquity’s cloud-based Choreo service delivery platform and Software and Data Management solution to deliver robust connected vehicle security threat detection and response capability for both automotive customers and consumers.
