Aims to cut individual vehicle energy usage by 20% with its NEXTCAR projects

The US Energy Department’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) has announced up to USD32 million in funding for 10 projects as part of its program called ‘Next-Generation Energy Technologies for Connected and Autonomous On-Road Vehicles’ (NEXTCAR), the agency said in a press release on 2 November.
