Harman’s Q1 net income up 18% y/y to USD103 million on higher sales
Secures new automotive business worth USD2 billion during the quarter
Harman’s net income increased 18% year-over-year (y/y) to USD103 million in the first quarter ended 30 September 2016, the US-based infotainment and connected services supplier said in a press release. The company also reported 15% y/y growth in operating income USD151 million. Harman recorded higher growth in earnings driven by 8% y/y increase in net sales to USD1.8 billion.
