All BMW vehicles sold before 2014, featuring 2G services, to lose mobile connection
BMW is gearing up to discontinue 2G services on its vehicles in the United States at the end of this year. All BMW vehicles sold before 2014, featuring 2G services, will lose their mobile connection on 31 December 2016, rendering services including SOS, BMW Assist eCall and Concierge Call useless. The company’s action will also impact some recent models that continue to feature 2G service.
