Bosch showcases hydraulic pressure sensor at Electronica

Company also unveils new barometric pressure sensor to measure air pressure and temperature in automotive engines

Robert Bosch has launched a new pressure sensor, the SMP14x, for hydraulic pressure measurement in automatic transmissions at Electronica in Munich, Germany, the company said in a press release on 8 November. The new sensor has response time of less than one millisecond and is useful for pressure range of 10 to 90 bar. The SMP14x measures hydraulic pressure to operate clutch with high precision resulting in smooth gear shifting and enhanced driving comfort.
