Bosch to invest USD430 million in US this year
German supplier has invested USD1.5 in US in the past five years
Bosch has earmarked an investment of EUR400 million (USD430 million) to further strengthen its presence in the United States this year, up nearly one-fifth over the amount invested in 2015, the Germany-based automotive supplier said in a press release on Monday (14 November). The company is investing is capacity expansion at its Charleston plant in South Carolina, which manufactures components for anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic stability program (ESP). Apart from ramping up production capacity, the German supplier is investing in the occupational training and professional development activities at the plant.
