US automaker is equipping new-generation vehicles with more driver-assist features

Ford will gradually add more driver-assistance technology on its vehicles in the coming years before the company rolls out its first fully autonomous car in 2021, report Autocar citing Lisa Brankin, marketing director, Ford of Britain. “I don’t believe fully autonomous cars will be on our roads in any big number for at least another decade,” Brankin told Autocar at Ford’s Driving Skills for Life event in London. “When [fully autonomous technology] comes, it won’t come all at once; driverless cars won’t be everywhere straight away,” she said.
