Company aims 6% operating margin and electromobility leadership
The Volkswagen (VW) passenger car brand has followed the announcement last week of the labour agreement it has forged with the company's works council to shed 23,000 jobs at its German operations through voluntary redundancy by announcing a comprehensive new corporate strategy that will act as the foundation to revitalise the brand's profitability and growth. The new TRANSFORM 2025+ programme was announced yesterday by the unit's chairman and VW Group board member Herbert Diess, with the focus on three phases.
