Uber’s new location feature track riders before and after rides

Tracking feature will work if riders permit

Uber is gearing up to introduce new location feature in its ride sharing app that would enable it to track riders before and after rides, reports Digital Trends. With the service enabled, the US-based ride-sharing company will be able to track rider’s location from the time he or she originally books a ride until five minutes after the ride ends. The company said the feature will enable drivers to track riders without making a phone call.
