Uber buys AI startup Geometric Intelligence, creates new division – report
Car-sharing company to use use AI to improve ride-hailing services, developing technology to make self-driving cars more efficient
Uber has purchased an artificial intelligence (AI) startup called Geometric Intelligence, reported the Wall Street Journal. In addition, the ride-hailing company has created a new division called Uber AI Labs, and will move the 15-person staff of Geometric Intelligence to Uber's hometown of San Francisco, California, United States, to form the new group.
