Intersil’s shareholders approve proposed merger with Renesas
Merger is expected to complete in first half of next year
Intersil’s shareholders have approved the company’s planned merger with Renesas, the US-based supplier of power management and precision analog solutions said in a press release on 8 December. However, the completion of merger is subject to the satisfaction of certain other conditions, including antitrust approval by the government of China and by the Committee of Foreign Investment (CIFUS) in the United States.
