Production of Mitsubishi products at the plant ended in 2016

Start-up company Rivian Automotive is in talks to buy the automotive plant in Normal, Illinois, United States, that used to be a Mitsubishi assembly facility, according to a statement released by the Bloomington Normal Economic Development Council in Bloomington, Illinois. In the statement, the development council says that Rivian is "an automotive technology company developing an integrated portfolio of vehicles and services to advance the shift to sustainable mobility".
