China-based Thunder Software acquires Finnish automotive software company Rightware
Rightware’s Kanzi software is used by over 20 global automotive brands
China-based mobile operating system specialist Thunder Software Technology has reached an agreement to acquire Finland-based automotive user interface software company Rightware for EUR64 million (USD66.8 million), the two companies said in a joint press release on Monday (19 December). The acquisition, first for the Chinese company, significantly strengthens its position in the connected car software market. The transaction is expected to be close by early 2017.
