Cypress begins shipments of eCT embedded flash memory-based MCUs
New MCU is approximately 25% smaller than other products on the market
Cypress Semiconductor has begun volume shipments of microcontrollers (MCUs) containing its proprietary 40nm embedded charge-trap (eCT) flash manufactured at United Microelectronics (UMC), a semiconductor foundry, the two companies said in separate press releases.
