NVIDIA’s DRIVEP X2 AI powers Canada’s first self-driving test vehicle ‘Autonomoose’

WatCAR research team is currently testing Autonomoose at level 2 of autonomy with plans to progress to higher level of autonomy later

Late last month, the University of Waterloo’s Centre of Automotive Research (WatCAR) began testing a self-driving vehicle on public roads in the Canadian province of Ontario. The test vehicle, a modified Lincoln MKZ called ‘Autonomoose’, drove a crew of Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation officials autonomously to the podium of a launch event to formally introduce the first vehicle approved to hit the roads under the province’s automated vehicle pilot program.
