Japanese supplier to begin sale of autonomous ECU from July 2017

Hitachi Automotive has equipped a self-driving test vehicle with more powerful autonomous electronic control unit (ECU) featuring as many as 11 advanced driving functions, including low-speed traffic jam assist (TJA), the company said in a press release on 26 December. The company tested the self-driving vehicle at its Tokachi Test Center where all functions were found working correctly.
