Toyota investing USD10 billion in US through 2021 – report
Investment amount is similar to what Japanese automaker spent the prior five years
Toyota's North American CEO, James Lentz, said that the company will invest USD10 billion into the United States over the next five years, a figure that is the same as the past five years. Lentz, speaking to reporters at the 2017 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), said that the investment amount is similar to what the company spent the prior five years. Lentz said that the investment figure includes the expense of moving the company's US headquarters from California to Texas, a process that began in 2015 with the groundbreaking of the new offices.
