Uber adds ‘Calendar Shortcuts’ feature that sets destination based on calendar event

Feature currently available on iOS-based devices

Uber has rolled out a new feature in its redesigned ride-sharing Uber app that makes travelling to scheduled meetings and events a bit easier, the US-based company said in a press release. The feature called ‘Calendar Shortcuts’ syncs users’ calendar events with the Uber app to automatically show shortcut destination, alongside Home and Work shortcuts, when one opens the app. As a result, users will not need to type in an address or remember where a scheduled meeting is while booking rides.
