Nissan begins vehicle assembly operations in Myanmar
Japanese automaker is using existing plant owned by local partner Tan Chong Motor Group
Nissan announced in a company statement on Thursday (19 January) that it had started vehicle assembly in Myanmar. The automaker has started assembly of the Sunny compact sedan and will initially use the existing plant owned by its local partner, Tan Chong Motor Group (TCMM). The partners plan to assemble a few hundred units yearly, to meet local demand.
