VW and JAC partnership to gain EV production licence − report
German automaker plans to deliver around 400,000 NEVs to Chinese customers by 2020
The plans of Volkswagen (VW) and Chinese automaker Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Company (JAC) to form a joint venture (JV) solely for the production of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China, have been boosted by reports that they are in the final stages of being granted a licence. Reports in the Chinese media state that, in the approval procedure for a new JV company, the licence is to be granted on the "latest day in March".
