Even as preference for better comfort in cars drives demand for air suspensions, high cost remains a barrier in shifting the application of these suspensions further from high-end, luxury car market to lower segment cars
Although air suspensions have been around for a long time, their uptake is majorly limited to light commercial vehicles, such as trucks, and sport utility vehicles (SUVs), where heavy rear loads can weigh on the frame of the vehicle and affect drivability and comfort.
