GM Korea to launch Volt EV tomorrow

New Volt will be imported from US

General Motors (GM) plans to launch the second-generation Chevrolet Volt hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) in South Korea tomorrow (1 February), according to a report by the Yonhap News Agency. The vehicle's powertrain features a 18.3 kWh battery and 1.5-litre gasoline (petrol) engine. GM Korea claims that the new Volt has an extended driving range of 676 km. It can travel 89 km on a single charge, while its gasoline engine will extend the driving range by an additional 587 km.
