Micro Cars to assemble BAIC EV in Sri Lanka – report
Sri Lankan company start assembling BAIC's EC180 by the end of the year
Sri Lanka's Micro Cars reportedly plans to assemble electric vehicles (EVs) under licence from China's Beijing Automobile International Corporation (BAIC). According to a report by Daily News, Micro Cars will start assembling BAIC's EC180 electric vehicle (EV) by the end of the year. "We are now hoping to assemble this car in Sri Lanka as we see a demand for this segment," said Dr Lawrence Perera, chairman of Micro Holdings.
