Daimler's CEO confirms review of planned joint production with Infiniti in Mexico – report
Two automakers started construction on the new plant in September 2015
Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche said at the company's earnings press conference that Daimler and Renault-Nissan are reconsidering their collaboration at a planned Mexico factory expected to build Mercedes-Benz and Infiniti vehicles. According to a Bloomberg report, Zetsche said, "There have been question marks about our efforts for a joint compact platform.
