Government in favor of single insurance to cover driver

The UK government is gearing up to introduce insurance rules for self-driving cars, Reuters reported on 8 February. With new rules, the government aims to ensure victims of accidents involving self-driving cars are compensated quickly without much hassles. “We must ensure the public is protected in the event of an incident and this week we are introducing the framework to allow insurance for these new technologies,” the news agency quoted Transport Secretary Chris Grayling , as saying.
