South Korean government is investing USD126 million support autonomous vehicle technology

The South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport has set a goal to accelerate commercialisation of Level 3 autonomous vehicles by 2020, reports the Maeil Business Newspaper. The US Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) defines six levels in automated driving from 0 to 5. Level 3 autonomous vehicles require humans in the driver's seat while a combination of hardware and software programs takes control most of the time.
