Hyundai to push new strategy with EV car-sharing business, to open engine tech lab
Korean automaker to launch three variants of the IONIQ model in international markets this year
Hyundai Motor is to set up a technology laboratory for the development of engine technologies specifically focusing on vehicles which are connected and have autonomous driving capabilities. The new research facility will be dedicated to developing the growth of Hyundai's technical prowess in the self driving and connected car applications, the Maeil Business Newspaper reports. The announcement for the new technical facility was made by Hyundai today (21 February) highlighting that it will focus on research in business lines while also delving into artificial intelligence (AI), new materials, energy, and robotics. The new research and development (R&D) facility will open as early as March this year.
