Company recorded 900,000 trips in its BMW i3 electric cars in Germany during 2016

DriveNow, a car-sharing company owned by BMW and SIXT, has reported robust growth in 2016, driven by strong jump in car-sharing base in Germany, the company said in a press release last week. The company’s operation in Germany was profitable for the third consecutive year. “We have seen healthy ongoing customer growth in double-digit percentage figures ever since we started,” said Sebastian Hofelich, managing director of DriveNow. “This constant growth – even in cities where DriveNow has been on offer for a long time – shows that there is still great potential for free-floating car sharing.
