US DOT to review self-driving car guidelines
New secretary to explain the benefit of self-driving vehicle to skeptical public
Elaine Chao, the newly appointed secretary of the US Department of Transportation (DOT), has said that she is reviewing the self-driving vehicle guidelines issued by the previous government, Reuters reported on 26 February. "This administration is evaluating this guidance and will consult with you and other stakeholders as we update it and amend it, to ensure that it strikes the right balance," Reuters quoted Chao as saying.
