Mitsubishi Electric develops 3D mapping technologies for autonomous driving
Japanese supplier plans to sell software utilizing its new automated mapping and difference extraction technologies to mapping companies
Mitsubishi Electric has developed technologies for automated mapping and extraction of transitions in mapping landscape for highly accurate three dimensional (3D) mapping for use in autonomous vehicles, the company said in a press release on 16 March. The company’s solutions are based on artificial intelligence (AI) and its own Mobile Mapping Systems (MMS).
