System leverages AI and human support to help autonomous vehicles make decision in unpredictable situations

Nissan is showcasing its ‘Seamless Autonomous Mobility’ (SAM) system at the 2017 CeBIT this week in Hanover, Germany, the company said in a press release on 20 March. The system, inspired by NASA technology, leverages in-vehicle artificial intelligence (AI) and human support to help autonomous vehicles make decision in unpredictable situations such as accidents, road construction or other obstacles.
