Ride-sharing company already redesigned navigation system on iOS; expected on Android as well

Uber has redesigned the navigation system built into the Uber Driver app, the company said in a blog last week. The redesigned navigation is expected to help drivers do their jobs more efficiently. Uber has already redesigned navigation system on iOS and it is expected to come soon on Android also for the first time. “The goal for the new navigation experience is to provide drivers with the optimal driving experience for Uber specifically, Maya Choksi, driver app senior product manager at Uber, told TechCrunch in an interview. “Previously we had a hacked together experience, using a combination of APIs to provide in-app navigation,” Choksi said.
