New plant to have annual production capacity for 1 million sunroofs

Webasto plans to establish a new manufacturing plant in central China to produce sunroof, Global Times reported on 26 March citing Xinhua. According to the report, the German supplier plans to invest CNY500 million (USD72.7 million) for the plant that will be located in Caidan District, Hubei Province (China). The plant is expected to have an installed capacity to produce 1 million units of sunroof annually. Webasto has signed an agreement with the Caidan government regarding the proposed investment. The construction work for the plant will take a year and a half, according to the report.
