App-based cab service Ola to roll out fully electric cars in Indian under pilot project
Company’s move is expected to boost sales of EVs in India
India-based ride-sharing company Ola plans to introduce fully electric cars in its fleet on pilot basis in major Indian cities, reports new website Live Mint. “We shall be rolling out electric cabs in top cities in three months,” Bhavish Aggarwal, co-founder and CEO of Ola, was quoted as saying in an interview. Ola is soon expected to identify the cities where the pilot project will be launched. Aggarwal further said that any decision to scale up the roll out of electric cars will be taken on the basis of the feedback of its pilot program.
