SAIC-GM unveils ‘Connectivity Strategy 2025’
GM’s Chinese JV will leverage over two decades of experience of OnStar
SAIC General Motors (SAIC-GM), a joint-venture (JV) between China’s SAIC Motor and GM, has announced its ‘Connectivity Strategy 2025’, a nine-year roadmap to offer greater connectivity in its vehicles sold in China, GM said in a press release on 27 March. Under the strategy, the JV will leverage over two decades of experience of OnStar, a GM company specializing in connectivity. OnStar has been present in China for around eight years through Shanghai OnStar JV and claims to have nearly 1 million subscribers.
