Asahi Kasei to ramp up battery component production by 30% – report
Japanese supplier to ramp up production capacity at plant in Shiga prefecture
Asahi Kasei plans to increase the production of battery separators, a component used in lithium-ion batteries, by 30% to meet growing demand, Nikkei reported today (30 March). The Japan-based supplier is planning an investment in range of JPY11 billion to JPY19 billion over the next two years (by 2019).
