Autonomous start-up hires former NHTSA head as chief safety innovation officer
Several companies, including start-ups, have hired from NHTSA
Mark Rosekind, former head of the United States National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA), has joined self-driving start-up Zoox as its chief safety innovation officer, Automotive News reported on 3 April. Last year, the federal safety regulator, under Rosekind’s leadership, issued voluntary guidelines for self-driving cars.
