Airbag inflators in the recalled vehicles could explode or deploy inadvertently under prolonged heat

Toyota Kirloskar Motor plans to recall 23,157 units of the Corolla Altis sedan in India to remedy a problem with the passenger side airbag supplied by Japan-based supplier Takata, Autocar Professional reported on Wednesday, citing a company spokesperson. The recalled vehicles were manufactured between January 2010 and December 2012.
