Refreshed 2018 Golf models will go on sale later this year

Volkswagen (VW) has unveiled its 2018 Golf family (includes Golf, Golf GTI, Golf Alltrack, Golf SportWagen and Golf R) at the 2017 New York Auto Show with updated driver assist technologies, the company said in a press release early this week. The German automaker is offering forward collision warning, automotive emergency braking (AEB), blind spot monitor (BSM) with rear traffic alert (RTA) on most SE trims and above. Further, the updated version of AEB, which VW calls Front Assist, now includes pedestrian monitoring. VW is also offering adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane departure warning (LDW), park distance control, parking steering assistant and high beam control on some models.
