Apple receives California DMV permit to test self-driving cars
Permit allows Apple to conduct tests in three vehicles with six drivers on state roads
Apple has received permission from California’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to test self-driving cars on the state’s roads, Reuters reported on 14 April. The state DMV updated its website last week adding Apple as the latest company in the list of around 30 companies that are eligible for testing self-driving cars in the state. According to the DMV, the permit allows Apple to conduct tests in three vehicles with six drivers.
